If you are reading this and following me, I assume you want to do something big in education.

You want to shake things up. Make a real difference.

You're a bit of a wild-eyed prophet, desperate to see schools transformed into places where students actually flourish.

You're a dreamer, a pioneer, a poet, a warrior for change.

You're ready to face giants, slay dragons, do whatever it takes to build something better.

You care deeply about students, teachers, and communities.

You're passionate, maybe even a bit angry.

You're tired of the old ways and sick of the excuses.

I get you. I was the same way.

I had had enough of watching student potential squandered and wasted.

I was sick of the grind and done with the machinery of traditional schooling: scantrons, grade portals, parents emailing fifteen seconds after a quiz posted to complain about an 84.

I was broken by tears from students convinced they weren't "smart enough" or "good enough" for their dream college.

I was scared by the self-harm I watched grow over my final years in the classroom—students literally screaming with their lives to be noticed, seen, heard, valued.

I knew something had to change

So I stopped asking permission. I turned in my resignation and said goodbye to traditional education forever.

I set sail across the metaphorical wine-dark sea to a new world—no guarantees, no promises, no teacher retirement account, not even a paycheck—and launched Odyssey Leadership Academy, an award winning school reimagining the very fabric of education itself

But here's what I know:

Passion alone isn't enough to transform education.

This work requires both the fire of a revolutionary and the wisdom of a scholar.

You need the anger that fuels change and the expertise that makes change sustainable.

Big, bold ideas? Absolutely. But not done haphazardly.

Real educational transformation is backed by considerable experience, expertise, research, inquiry, and design.

You can be both a dreamer and a doer. A visionary and a practitioner. Hell-bent on change and grounded in proven practice.

That's what it takes to build schools where all students flourish.

That’s exactly why I am so excited to invite you into the next phase of educational transformation: The Flourishing School Leaders Cohort!
